There are two kinds of new Anchors, one is the Newport Anchor Necklace which features a weaving rope throughout the piece, and second is the Atlantic Anchor Necklace which is a petite symbol with a high polish finish. Both styles come in golden, and silver color metal.

Times like these makes us thankful that we’re a Florida based company. If you in the area for the winter you know what I mean. Beautiful weather, sunshine, and no snow. Sorry to our northern friends who probably has it up to here with long winter. I was told by a supplier of ours that she had to shovel out of over 1 1/2 feet of snow just to get to work. Yikes! I digress… The main reason for this post is I wanted to tell you what we’re up to.

The beginning of a season always holds so much possibility. Since we specialize in nautical jewelry there is always a little more excitement surrounding the Seaside Collection during the beginning stages of spring and summer. So, as we prepare the physical store in Madeira Beach and online shops for the upcoming busy season we always introduce new items of the seafaring variety. Granted we never really stop introducing items all year round because there is always something new coming into Landing Company, but this is our big release. Most of the nautical introduction happens right around now. But, enough about release cycles. Here is a look at some of the latest items in Seaside Collection by Landing Company.
Seahorse and Dolphin Necklaces
If you are not familiar with this collection, it is what we call our sterling silver that has a nautical flair. Every piece in the collection is cast in brilliant .925 sterling silver and there are several categories that make up the entire range. We have the created blue and white opal, crystal, exotic wood, sea glass, abalone, diamond cut, and classic sterling silver.
In this release we introduced some brand new items that feature sparkling clear crystals that adds some added detail. Designs include the sea horse, and dolphin that can be matched with coordinating post earrings. These pieces turned out extraordinarily well. The quality of the sterling silver craftsmanship is second to none, and the “water like nature” of the contours in the designs really enhances the overall appearance of these new additions.
Palm Tree Necklace with Diamonds
We wanted to introduce a real showstopper. So, we elevated this next piece to a whole new level by adding genuine diamonds. This Palm Tree is a brand new design and is one of the more realistic pieces in the Seaside collection. Matched with diamonds, it is absolutely stunning.
Honu Sea Turtle Necklace and Earrings
Believe it or not, we didn’t have the classic Hawaiian Honu Sea Turtle in the collection before. This sacred wave surfer came out incredibly. Can be paired with either fish hook, or post matching earrings the Honu Sea Turtle Necklace is simply beautiful. We wanted to bring a more playful element to this design and only showcase the turtle, the built in bail on one of its fins; which fits our signature box link chain, was the perfect choice. Your whole focus is on the piece.
There are a few other surprises in the collection that I have not gone over in this post so I’ll leave that discovery to you.

This one is available in Sterling Silver so if the person you are giving this charm already has Sterling Silver charms on her bracelet, it would look stunning. This is one of the original pieces for STORY, and as more collections were released additional colors and metals were introduced. This piece has brilliant AAA CZ crystal pave around the entire charm. A real showstopper. If she likes her sparkle than this is definitely the piece to go with, cast in sterling silver and three more combinations one of which is really Valentine’s Day-esque. When this charm is on her bracelet it will remind her that your love is pure and always with her no matter where she goes.

Starting the year off with a few new things on the blog. This is a first of some of new features we will be doing throughout the year. About once a week, we’ll highlight a product from the shop and go in-depth to learn all about that particular item. First up in this new Product Spotlight section is the Ocean Drop Necklace. At Landing Company we are always on the lookout for interesting and unique pieces, and this one of them.
Unique & nautical…
There is something inherently natural with the ocean drop necklace. It is not quite nautical, but it is definitely not in the classic sterling category either. It sits somewhere in between. Which is exactly what we wanted. We had some really nice starfish and other sea life motifs in the seaside collection, so when we set out to design a new item we wanted it to be different from what was already in the collection. After curating hundreds of items we finally had found what we were looking for. The ocean drop necklace.

Ocean Drop Necklace by Landing Company
Introduced in the middle of 2013, and has been a hit with our customers through the shop ever since. The piece is concave on the back and is completely finished with sterling silver and hallmarked with LC for Landing Company and .925. One the front it has Created Blue Opal inlaid in sterling and designed in a wave pattern. Created blue opal has a mosaic pattern with blues, and greens with just the right amount of shimmer. Just like the sun hits the water while your by the shore. Because of these properties the blue opal makes the perfect material for the Ocean Drop Necklace.

Most of the sterling silver necklaces are shown with a sterling silver box link chain. It is a beautiful classic chain and comes with a round lobster clasp. This chain looks really good with the built-in round bail of the ocean drop necklace so it will the pendant will not independently move from the bail. This provides a more contoured and modern look to the piece.
