Around here, Created Blue Opal Jewelry in our Seaside Collection has been one of the mainstays. It features wonderful starfish and other sea life designs. The vivid blues and whites in the mosaic opal contrasted with sterling silver creates a beautiful combination that our customers love to wear season after season.

So, when it came time to start designing and curating some brand new items for the Resort and Spring seasons we decided to keep it in the family…

Introducing the all new Created Opal Jewelry Collection from Landing Company.

It features timeless designs utilizing this same Blue and White Mosaic Opal that you can’t get enough of.  There are a few bracelets in the range, but the majority of the collection is in rings, necklaces, and earrings. Many are available in sets too, with the necklaces matching the earrings or vice versa.

We are really happy on how these turned out. Featuring precise cuts of Mosaic Opal with Tanzanite or Amethyst color CZ. Some have clear CZ for an added detail that really shines. All come sized and are packaged with Landing Company signature gift boxes to be right ready to give.

Many of these same comments apply to the earrings too. With these designs we wanted to put the focus on the Mosaic Opal so, simple and timeless shapes are present. Sizing is important. That’s why we took great care in making sure each item is perfectly shaped and designed so it would wear just right. If you have seen us through the shop in Madeira Beach, it goes without saying that we are always bringing some new and unique merchandise in with every season. Even though we don’t have much of a winter down here that doesn’t mean we can’t have the latest fashion jewelry around for your wearing pleasure this Fall and Winter. So, without further ado, introducing the Winter 2013 Fashion Jewelry Collection by Landing Company.

Many of the new items feature some of the biggest trends in fashion jewelry. Now, I’m not a huge believer in trends however, many of these classic pieces transcend the usual associations with “trendy”, and definitely fall more into the classic side of things. Here are three design elements that weave through the new arrival collection.

First up, is Chains and Links. Landing Company’s buyers of curated some of the best options out there. Opting for a more subtle mixture of golden and black rhodium metals with some silver mixed in. Some are definitely more statement pieces. But there are conservative options that do allow you to wear the trend without feeling like Mr. T.

I can’t think of anything more iconic in regards to nautical jewelry than the starfish. The simplicity of starfish jewelry, the shape, just everything about it is beach chic at its finest.

So when we are forging these little ambassadors of the sea from the finest sterling silver on earth we take the design of each piece very seriously before introducing it to our seaside collection. It has to be the right size, right shape, and right weight. It simply has to feel just right.

Each design will go through dozens of iterations to get the correct blend. So, when you try on a starfish necklace or any of our starfish jewelry for the first time it looks and feels perfect.

It all started with the original Atlantis Starfish Necklace. This little guy has been with us since the early days. Which in retrospect are some of the best. I can picture it now walking up and meeting the maker of this piece for the first time. The crimson red tablecloth accented with pure white and silvery reflection of this piece from the table lamps. A stark contrast to the cold and somewhat dreary convention center. It felt right. Sourcing it from a premier Mexican jeweler who not only became a friend of the business but a friend of our family. We hope that it becomes a treasured reminder of your time at the beach, and that you always keep those warm memories nearby. Just like those feelings when we first saw it.

You know any piece that we bring into the shop, has been carefully thought of, designed or curated. We simply do not buy jewelry from anyone. This is part of the human element that has been forgotten as of late. So… I was talking to Colin the other day about our stainless steel jewelry collection, mainly asking why we didn’t have this or we really should add that. Nothing major, just normal retailer talk. Well, he decided to re-up in a big kind of way. Right now our stainless steel jewelry by Landing Company has the latest designs the industry has to offer.

Good news is we have an extensive collection in sizes ranging from 18 inches to 30 inches. Most folks go with a 20″ inch for guys but of course it just depends on how you like to wear it.
